In this two-part workshop, teens will explore practical and accessible tools focused on self-care, self-awareness, and self-compassion. Self-care is the practice of tending to one’s own energy and needs, and in our loud and fast-paced world, it can be challenging find balance within the waves of commotion. We will provide opportunities for self-reflection and creativity through art, movement, mindfulness, and self-soothing activities. We will explore how to support our bodies and mind through sensorial activities, like aromatherapy, embodiment practices, and meditation and simple breath work. At the completion of our two-day workshop, each teen will leave with a “toolbox” personally curated to support their intention of consistent self-care practices, as well as tending to acute needs when “life happens.”
