Join us on Shawme Pond for the hometown boat parade. Nothing says Cape Cod like a boat parade, live music, and fireworks! Live music will be provided by the Moonlighters from 7:30PM to 9:30PM
WHEN: July 4th 9PM
WHERE: Shawme Pond Bandstand behind Town hall on Route 130
WHAT: Boat parade is comprised of small boats and canoes decorated in creative ways using paper lanterns illuminated by candles. The parade has been taking place since the late 1800's. It's truly a memorable sight! This is an event you won't want to miss!
TO ENTER A BOAT: Register on our website or contact Sandwich Recreation at 508-888-4361. Materials (strapping, lanterns, candles and twine) will be supplied. There is a maximum of 18 boats allowed in the parade
Participants should bring chairs, blankets, bug spray, and dancing shoes!
