Special Olympics Bowling
Special Olympics’ Bowling
Come join the Sandwich Sailors with the Sandwich Recreation and the Special Olympics for 10 Pin and  Candle Pin Bowling this winter! One of Special Olympics MA’s largest sports, bowling is available to everyone. Volunteers will welcome and challenge athletes to do their best, learn bowling etiquette and improve skills every week.

Who: Athletes ages 8 & up
When: Sunday’s starting 1/14/24-3/17/24
            at 3:30 – 4:30 PM 
Where: Ryan Family Amusements, 1067 Main St. South Yarmouth
Cost: Free

10 Pin Bowling and Candle Pin Bowling: both have the same game concept but there are a few differences that make the games not so similar to each other. Candle pin bowling the ball size is only 4.5 inches in diameter whereas a 10 pin bowling ball is nearly double that at around 8.5 inches in diameter. ALL SPECIAL OLYMPICS TOURNAMENTS ARE 10 PIN.


Please note: All Athletes and Volunteers must register with the Sandwich Recreation Department and completed the required Special Olympic Forms below to participate in any program.
