Spirit of Sandwich July 4th Parade at 4pm
Who: Everyone (businesses, groups, organizations, antique cars, individuals, families, neighborhoods, etc.) is invited to participate in the Spirit of Sandwich 4th of July Parade.
Groups, marchers, and vehicles must be registered with the Recreation Department. Deadline to register is JUNE 29TH.
When: NEW START TIME for 2021: Parade starts at 4PM from the Henry T. Wing School, 33 Water Street.
Where: Starting on Route 130 (Water Street) in front of Wing School through downtown Sandwich via Main street , Beale Ave and ending on Morse Road. For route map visit:4th of JUly Parade Route 2021
Please note:
All marchers and bikers
- Children may walk or ride their decorated bikes. No battery or gas powered children's vehicles are allowed.- Must pre-register.
- All marchers and bikers please arrive at the front parking lot of the Henry T. Wing School, located on 33 water Street Sandwich MA, by 2:30pm; (parking in the back lot at Wing School).
- We suggest you bring an ample supply of drinking water for your group.
- For the safety of the public watching the parade, throwing candy is prohibited. You may have walkers next to your vehicle handing out candy.
All vehicles and floats :
- All vehicles and floats will enter through Morse Road off of Beal Ave (see attached map) by 2:00pm to be lined up. Vehicles and floats must be fully decorated. All additional vehicles to be parked in Wing School back parking lot, NO STREET PARKING.
- Vehicles in the parade are limited to 2 Axels and limited to 3/4 ton gross vehicle weight (GVW) Two responsible adults must be in the vehicle.
- The Recreation Department reserves the right to prohibit a vehicle or group to participate in the parade if it is deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in poor taste or for violating the no water rules.
- If you are driving a vehicle, other than an antique or classic car, please decorate your vehicle. We welcome patriotic music being played.

Squirting/spraying or throwing water by spectators, residents along the parade route, and parade participants is NOT ALLOWED! NO EXCEPTIONS!
SQUIRT GUNS OF ANY KIND/SIZE ARE BANNED FROM THE SANDWICH JULY 4TH PARADE!!!!! SQUIRTING WATER IS BANNED!!! NO WATER BALLOONS!!! The only water allowed at the parade... is drinking water!
